Creative Ways To Remember Your Baby's First Year

Your baby's first year will most likely be the fastest year you have ever been through.  Before you know it, you will celebrating his or her first birthday and you will be thinking "How did it go so fast?!?!"

If you want to remember all those little moments, the people over at thestir.com have put together some really fun ways to capture that first year.  Go beyond the baby book and check out these cute ideas.

1. Frame your baby's coming home outfit.  It is super easy and preserves really well over the years. It can go in the nursery, a family room or just put it away for the future.

2. Keep a journal.  You probably don't have the time to write down a full page of baby moments every night, or the grocery list because you are so sleep deprived. The Mom's One-Line-A Day Memory Book is a really easy way to capture that special little thing your baby did that day. One line each day and before you know it you'll have wonderful memories to look back upon.

3. Holiday cards for your baby.  Celebrate each holiday by buying a holiday card for your baby with a special memory of how your baby celebrated and add any milestones your baby is doing.  Put them away in memory box and pass them when they are older.

4. Start a blog.  And no, it doesn't have to be public.  You don't even have to share it with your family or friends. It is an easy way to document anything and everything with lots of pictures too. Just like an online baby book. There are some with password protections too, if you would like to keep it very private.

5. Month stickers.  If you have friends on facebook with a new baby you definitely have seen these month stickers.  Every month you put one on your baby's onesie to mark a new month in his or her life and start taking pictures. When the first year is up, print a book on Shutterfly or Lulu to give to grandparents and of course yourself!
