Best Double Strollers

If you are in the market for a double stroller, be sure to check out this list (and their comments) of strollers provided by Babble.com.  They tested each stroller with a 5-month-old, 18-month-old and 3-year-old. They tested the basics -ease of assembly, use, break-down and storage.  They also tested each stroller in as many environments as they could: on urban sidewalks, rural trails, hills and parks. Just so you know, they only tested strollers with the accessories that came with the stroller, (such as second seats for the convertables), so they didn't test any with infant car seats or bassinet attachments.

Best Overall
Baby Jogger City Select Stroller with Second Seat
It’s incredibly easy to set up, break down and store. It maneuvers like butter and, most impressively, there are 16 different seating arrangements for any age combination. Yes, it is more expensive than other doubles, but the fact that it’s a convertible stroller – meaning it can be a single or a double – could actually save you money in the long run.

Best Convertable
Britax B-Ready
It was a close second to the Baby Jogger City Select, but they preferred the Britax as a single stroller (without the second seat attachment), only because it has a little more storage capacity and they found it more comfortable to stroll with. So if you’re looking for a stroller that you can use with baby number one until baby number two comes along, we think this is your best bet.

Best Lightweight/Daily Use

Maclaren Twin Triumph
This stroller is a simple, open-snap-and-go stroller. It’s surprisingly small, lightweight and easy to maneuver, plus it folds and stores without much effort. They also found that it easily glides through a standard doorway better than any other they tested.

Best Luxury
Bumbleride Indie Twin
It has plush seating, cushioned handle bars, an extra large sun canopy and lots of storage make it one of the most comfortable rides they tested. It also has an adjustable footrest to accommodate infants up through childhood (weight limit is 90 lbs.), which means you won’t have to buy any extra parts as your kids grow. In fact, the backrest incline, canopy coverage and bumper bar heights can be independently adjusted for their individual needs and preferences.

Best Affordable
Combi Twin Sport
This is the best stroller for your dollar. It was easy to use, seeing that’s it’s lightweight (22 lbs.) and can easily fit through a standard doorway (less than 30 inches wide).  You’ll also get a lot of comfort at this price, like plush, reclinable seats and optional snack trays.

Best Tandem Travel System
Chicco Cortina Together
This one from Chicco is just like many of the other tandem strollers, but this one is half the price. And if you don’t mind the longer tandem design, it’s the lightest and most maneuverable of tandem travel systems they.  There’s also a hefty amount of storage and a parent tray with cup holders.
